We have become aware that a potentially hazardous situation arises if the upper travel-limit stop for the screen head in a manually focused PJ-H30 Series Profile Projector fails in service. Such failure may occur due to excessive force being applied to the focus-adjustment handle by the operator and can result in the screen head suddenly falling to the lower limit of its travel with consequent risk of personal injury.

Mitutoyo has already taken remedial action with regard to this issue for known customers but is also making this formal website announcement in case there are customers or users unknown to the company. Therefore we ask that if you own or use a PJ-H30 Series Profile Projector with an Order Number in the list below, and have not been contacted regarding this issue, please contact your local Mitutoyo sales office as soon as possible.
