The manner of transportation for lithium batteries and electric double-layer capacitors is regulated under IATA Dangerous Goods Regulations.
Lithium batteries contained in certain Mitutoyo products are subject to the aforementioned regulation, therefore we request your utmost care regarding air transportation of relevant products.
Dealing with this regulation is the responsibility of the shipper, therefore, when arranging transportation of Mitutoyo products that use lithium batteries, we ask that you check with the transport company in advance and take appropriate measures.
The lithium batteries and electric double-layer capacitors in Mitutoyo products are handled as follows.

Lithium batteries

When individually shipping the lithium battery or product containing lithium battery, they are not classified as dangerous goods, but they may be subject to the law if multiple batteries or products are shipped together.
