The method of transportation for lithium batteries and electric double-layer capacitors is regulated under the IATA Dangerous Goods Regulations.
Lithium batteries used in certain Mitutoyo products are also subject to the aforementioned regulation, therefore we request your utmost care regarding air transportation of relevant products.
It is the responsibility of the shipper to deal with this regulation, therefore, when arranging transportation of Mitutoyo products that use lithium batteries, we request you to check with the transport company in advance and take appropriate measures.
The lithium batteries and electric double-layer capacitors in Mitutoyo products are handled as follows.

Lithium batteries

Individually shipped lithium batteries used in Mitutoyo products are not classified as dangerous goods, but shipping multiple batteries or products together may be dangerous.

Electric double-layer capacitors

None of the electric double layer capacitors used in our products exceed the specified 0.3Wh, and all of them are incorporated in products.
Therefore, there are no dangerous goods that are subject to declaration.
