Product release High Precision Profile Measuring Instrument
SurfaceMeasure1008S
Mitutoyo Corporation (Head Office: Takatsu-ku, Kawasaki, Japan; President: Yoshiaki Numata) has released the SurfaceMeasure1008S, a non-contact in-line sensor that can perform everything ranging from profile measurement to 3D dimensional inspection, in order to meet various in-line measurement needs and the increasing demand for high-precision measurement. SurfaceMeasure1008S", a non-contact in-line sensor capable of profile measurement and 3D dimensional inspection.
SurfaceMeasure1008S (hereafter, SM1008S) is a smart sensor that uses Mitutoyo's unique optical system in addition to the conventional sensor technology through a technical alliance with a Canadian company who has an extensive experience in in-line measurement. By providing the SM1008S, Mitutoyo will be able to make a significant contribution to improving productivity in in-line measurement and 100% inspection in a wide range of fields, including the electrical, electronics, semiconductor, automotive, food, medical device, and pharmaceutical industries.
Main Features
1. Various measurement tools and improved usability
Many measurement tools such as height, width, volume, flatness, pattern matching, gap & flush, etc. are provided as standard functions. In addition, the sensor has advanced processing functions built in, eliminating the need for a dedicated controller and the need for complicated settings and programming.
2.High-precision sensor for stable measurement
The sensor alone guarantees an accuracy of 20 µm and achieves a Z repeatability of 0.5 µm.
Accurate representation of the shape of the object to be measured enables stable inspection and measurement.
3.High environmental resistance and parts matching enable in-line 100% inspection
The IP67 environmental resistance and parts matching function, which enables consistent application of the measurement tool regardless of the orientation of the object to be measured, realize accurate in-line 100% inspection without alignment.
